In Acts 21, the Apostle Paul knows that hardship awaits him in Jerusalem. Friends plead with him not to go, and the prophet Agabus warns that he will be bound and imprisoned. Yet Paul has already settled the question of who controls his life. His response is simple and powerful: “I am ready.”

A surrendered life has a heart that loves, a will that yields, a life that obeys, a spirit that endures, and a testimony that speaks.
Acts 21 also challenges us to distinguish between personal preferences and biblical convictions, to remain faithful when others misunderstand us, and to recognize that what appears to be an interruption may actually be an opportunity God intends to use.
Ultimately, surrender asks each of us some deeply personal questions:
Will I obey when obedience is uncomfortable? Will I remain faithful when I am misunderstood? Will I follow Christ when following Him costs me something?
Paul could face uncertainty with peace because his plans, reputation, comfort, future, and life were already in God’s hands.
Surrender does not mean knowing what God will do. It means trusting God with whatever He does.
